PREPPING FOR YOUR SHOOT CHECK-LIST
MANDATORY FOR ULTIMATE HOTNESS!

WHAT TO BRING?
Matching panties and a supportive bra in black, white or nude. They go with everything and will give you multiple options. Fill in with bras in other classic and/or fun colors that compliment your skin tone and style.
Sexy shoes, outfits, and accessories that fit your personality and body type. Refer to our outfit section for ideas.
Jewelry, if desired. Although we don't shoot with a lot of jewelry for boudoir (it's more about YOU than your accessories!), definitely bring a few pieces along just in case. Choker necklaces, bangles, hoop earrings and stud earrings work best. Hoops are great for standing and sitting poses but will flip around when you lay down (and you'll be laying down a lot!). So be sure to bring some studs that work with your other jewelry items for your laying down poses.
Start a Pinterest board for inspiration and screen shot your six favorite poses/images from your Pinterest board! Then email them to us ahead of time or bring them along with you on your phone. We won't duplicate them, but we'll use them as inspiration and tailor them to your body type, style and outfits. OR, send us an invite to your board at spsbabes@susanpagestudios.com and we'll take a look!

WARDROBE IDEAS
• Classic matching lacy bra and panties. Beautiful. simple, classic and timeless.
• Your guy's white or light blue dress shirt. Or his work shirt, military fatigues or favorite sports jersey. Cute!
• A big soft sweater that pulls off your shoulder, either closed or cardigan style. Pair it with some fuzzy boots!
• A white "wife-beater" tank top with boy shorts or sexy panties. You can't go wrong with this look!
• Daisy Duke cut-offs, just be sure they aren't too tight or cut in around the waist. These pair great with the wife-beater tank. This is a very casual, girl-next-door look. So if you're not going for that look then nix the shorts.
• A steel-boned corset. Pair it with sexy boy-shorts and it's super sexy and flattering with coverage.
• A teddy or bustier with garters and thigh-high stockings. Classic, and our guys love this look. Be sure to get the stockings that DO NOT have the grippy tops as they can create muffin-tops on your thighs. You're best off getting the normal kind and possibly even buying them a size larger than you normally need. Trust us on this one.
• A well fitted bodysuit, nighty or slip that has the bra-style tops so your girls look lifted and gorgeous! If you're a bigger busted girl please, please, PLEASE be sure to get one that has the bra-style top If the "girls" are left on their own they generally will drop and travel, so support is absolutely necessary. Another option is to find a bra that matches or compliments the color of your bodysuit, nighty or slip and we can pair it underneath for support. We do that a lot and it's a great look!
• An "50 Shades of Grey" inspired look, with black leather, straps, studs and metal.
• Pearls. With a lacy pair of panties and heels, or some strategically placed tulle, or a white sheet. Classic.
• Nothing but a white sheet. We will drape it to hide or show whatever you're comfortable with, it's a gorgeous look for all body types.
• Anything else that makes you feel super gorgeous and sexy!

HOW MANY OUTFITS DO I BRING?
Whatever you decide, please be sure to narrow your selections down to ONLY 4-6 outfits to bring to the studio with you! Bringing more than that is not only unnecessary, but sorting through tons of wardrobe while you're in the studio will definitely cut into your shooting time, and you don't want that.
Be critical of your selections BEFORE your come in. If you aren't sure you like it on yourself at home, you definitely won't like it on yourself when you see your images. Also keep in mind that ill-fitting wardrobe is NOT something we can fix in photoshop. If you're not loving it on yourself, or it's not fitting you 100% great, ditch it and move on to something else.

WHAT NOT TO WEAR
Just as important as what you choose to wear is knowing what NOT to wear for your boudoir sessions. Here is a list of things to avoid and why:
• Baby doll negligees. Everyone thinks they hide a tummy, but trust us they really don't. In fact, they can add pounds to you visually so steer clear of these. The only exception to this is if you have a very thin body type and the baby doll is see-through. Instead, a lace-up corset is a much more flattering choice and will shape you, give you curves, and cover your tummy area. We recommend a corset with steel bones instead of those cheap mesh corsets that don't lace, as those tend to hug any bumps and bulges that the steel bones will conceal. Bodysuits are another fantastic option if you're looking to hide your mid-section. They're SUPER sexy with just the right coverage where you want it!
• Thigh-highs with rubberized, stay-up tops. Again, unless you have super skinny, super TONED legs this style of thigh-high will literally create a muffin top on your upper thigh. Yup. We've seen it time and time again. Instead, purchase thigh-highs without the rubber tops and pick up an adorable garter belt or a corset with garters to hold them up. AND, be sure to purchase your thigh-highs at least one size bigger for a better fit visually. If your thighs are the thickest part of your body go with two sizes bigger. Trust us on this one.
• Thong or G-string panties. These canroll, cut in, pinch and disappear in all the wrong places, especially if you have any extra skin or flesh. Stick with panties with wider sides like cheekies, lacies, hipsters or boy shorts. And buy these a size bigger as well to avoid any cutting into the skin (think lumps and bumps).
• Strappy or cage style lingerie. These are super popular right now! But for all the "lump and bump" reasons stated before, these are generally best if avoided. Again, if your body shape is super fit and toned, you may rock these. But for the rest of us ... they're best to be avoided.
• Clunky shoes, round-toed shoes, kitten heels, "office" shoes. Generally these create a disconnect with the feel of the image that your lingerie brings to the table. A sexy corset with a pair of practical office pumps will fall short of the "wow" factor. Stiletto style pumps, open or closed toe, and sexy strappy heels will bring that vavavoom factor to your shoot, and they will also make your legs appear long and graceful. Avoid booties and ankle straps, especially if your legs are shorter or thick. Stiletto boots can be super sexy with the right outfits as well, and if you have the legs to carry them off the over the knee look is smokin'! Also make sure your shoes are clean and in good repair, even on the soles (you will see them in some photos)!
• Make sure your bras fit right and give you good support and lift. Your girls need to look their best for your photo shoot, so do them a favor and get properly fitted for a great bra! You'll be happy you did when you see your images!
• Stay away from those cheap looking Halloween costumes. We know, he thinks the French maid outfit is the bomb. But if you want your images to be classy, timeless, beautiful. sexy and not dated a few years down the road, costumes are best avoided. The exception to this are accessory items like a beautiful mardi gras mask, a sexy "50 Shades of Grey" style mask or a sexy hat.
